Sign the petition: FREE STEPHEN KACZYNSKI! VICTIM OF ILLEGAL ARREST AND DETENTION BY TURKISH AKP REGIME

We call on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK government to help and demand the immediate release of Stephen Kaczynski from detention by the Turkish AKP regime.

Stephen Shaw Kaczynski is a Scottish anti imperialist activist, he is a British national and is a former employee of the BBC. He has been active in struggles against the Turkish government oppression and supporting groups and individuals on the Turkish left, especially those who were on hunger strike. He is a man who has a long affiliation with Turkish culture and is a lifelong socialist and defender of human rights worldwide. He has now become a victim of the fascist AKP government in Turkey, who wish to strike fear into those who oppose their oppressive state. They slander the innocent to pressurize them into forgetting their political identity. Steve was in Turkey for the purpose of international solidarity against fascism, and was arrested by the AKP police on unsubstantiated claims of being a 'British agent'. There is categorically no truth to these allegations which are being spread by the AKP controlled media in Turkey. Steve has been placed in solitary confinement and been denied reading materials. Steve has now begun a hunger strike in resistance to his detention.
